The Information Technology degree at Jamestown Community College prepares you to enter the workforce immediately after graduation with the ability to perform installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation services. You will be directly employable in information technology fields supporting computers, applications, networks, and databases.

Through JCC’s program, you’ll develop an in-depth understanding of computing technology fundamentals and skills necessary for implementation in selected environments. The wide range of electives provides flexibility to further your technology-related career goals.

After you complete the program, you will be able to:

  • Develop and understand the use of HTML and XHTML.
  • Understand the basic syntax of a programming language so that they will be able to use that language to solve a programming problem.
  • Install and configure a small LAN.
  • Solve a basic business problem using an office software package.
  • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot a hardware or software problem on a PC.
