Giving societies through the JCC Foundation
Support from our donors is essential for both the immediate future and long term vitality of Jamestown Community College and the thousands of students that we serve every year.
The giving societies at the JCC Foundation honor donors as they invest in our students and support our communities, both on an annual basis and throughout their lives.
The JCC Foundation publishes a Roll of Donors, along with these giving societies, in its Annual Report.
Lifetime giving societies

John D. Hamilton Society
The John D. Hamilton Society includes and recognizes donors who generously made gifts of between $250 and $999 during the current fiscal year. The society was established in 1995 in recognition of Mr. Hamilton’s exemplary service and dedication to Jamestown Community College. Long active in community affairs, Mr. Hamilton was among the devoted community leaders who worked diligently to see Jamestown Community College chartered in 1950 as the first community college in the State University of New York system. Mr. Hamilton served as the college ’s President and was a member of the JCC Board of Trustees.
The JCC Foundation honors Mr. Hamilton and society members for their leadership, philanthropy, and strong commitment to Jamestown Community College. Each year, at the JCC Foundation's Annual Recognition Dinner, an award in Mr. Hamilton's name is given to an individual whose civic contributions exemplify those of Mr. Hamilton.
Legacy Society
The Legacy Society will recognize individuals who have made deeply personal commitments to JCC through gifts of planned giving. Members of the Legacy Society and their heirs will forever be remembered by future generations of JCC students, alumni, and faculty and staff members. Legacy gifts help build financial support for future JCC student scholarships, academic programs, and capital initiatives.
