Guarantees acceptance, with junior standing, into Gannon’s master of science degree program in occupational therapy to JCC students who graduate with an associate in applied science degree in occupational therapy assistant, a minimum JCC cumulative grade point average of 3.0, a minimum grade of C in each occupational therapy assistant course, and a minimum grade of C in each of several additional courses.   Students must also meet Gannon’s standards regarding known behavioral problems. Students who take several JCC courses beyond those required for the associate’s degree can complete a bachelor’s degree in health sciences in four semesters and the master’s degree in occupational therapy in an additional two semesters, for a total of six semesters at Gannon. At least three qualified JCC students per year are guaranteed the opportunity to begin coursework at Gannon in the fall semester following their graduation from JCC. JCC will select those three students following the completion of their first year of Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) coursework, and will communicate their names and contact information to the Gannon occupational therapy department by September 15 of the year prior to their fall semester start date at Gannon.  All other qualified JCC students are guaranteed the opportunity to begin coursework at Gannon one year after the fall semester following their graduation from JCC. Gannon will accept up to 56 credit hours in transfer from JCC toward fulfillment of its degree requirements, and will waive requirements for an additional 21 credit hours of coursework.
