JCC honored nine alumni who have distinguished themselves in the field of education during a recent awards banquet on the Jamestown Campus.
Mary Kay Szwejbka, associate professor and director of education and human services, and recent graduate Daniel McNeill provided remarks on JCC’s teacher education transfer degrees.
The honorees, selected for recognition by administrators within their school systems, included: Janis Bowman ’86, associate professor of biology at JCC; Judith Haley ‘85, elementary teacher at Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School; Antoinette Indriolo ’80, middle school guidance counselor, Randolph Central School; Amanda Janisch ’95, special education teacher, Silver Creek Central School; Lynnette Jones ’74, teaching assistant, Chautauqua Lake Central School; Cathy Pitts ’99, computer teacher, George Washington Middle School; Jill Russell ‘92, elementary teacher, Springville Griffith Institute; Kathleen Taylor ’89, English teacher, Salamanca Central School; and Judith Warren ’81, writing teacher, Sherman Central School.
