Internships can be credit-bearing or not, paid or unpaid, community-based or out-of-the-area… but they all give learners the chance to gain professional experience in a supervised setting.

Planning to complete an internship for credit? Be sure to:
· Discuss plans with your advisor,
· Research and contact prospective internship sites as soon as possible,
· Seek résumé and cover letter assistance from the Counseling and Career Development Center,
· Finalize internship site arrangements,
· Complete a learning contract.
