The Entrepreneurship certificate at Jamestown Community College helps you develop entrepreneurial skills to become a successful entrepreneur and small business owner. You bring the idea, the passion, and the drive. We’ll support you with the education you need to bring your business venture to life.

While at JCC, you’ll study accounting, marketing, business law, and management as they relate to business ownership. Through electives, you can explore areas of business and add an in-depth level of skill that you can use as a successful entrepreneur.

After you complete the program, you will be able to:

  • Engage in a creative problem-solving process in order to identify opportunities and propose solutions to meet the needs of users in an identified market.
  • Identify a business model and assess its feasibility in the current market.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of entrepreneurship fundamentals in the areas of finance, accounting, marketing, communications, and the legal environment.
  • Develop the ability to identify resources and tools, as well as build and manage a network of people with complementary skills to help them translate opportunities into sustainable solutions.
