Attend our English summer program

JCC's summer English language immersion program offers you an opportunity to study English grammar and improve your vocabulary, pronunciation, listening skills, speaking, reading, and writing. No TOEFL scores are required.

Experience small class sizes and excursions around Chautauqua County and surrounding regions. Classes are held Monday through Friday by qualified ESL professors. You will stay in a modern suite-style residence hall on campus equipped with a full kitchen and individual bathrooms.

Our 2018 program is scheduled for August 6-18, 2018. Learn more about the program and how to apply.

International student scholarship

You are encouraged to apply for the JCC International Student Scholarship for each year of full-time study at JCC. Preference is given if you complete your application by November 1 for the following spring semester, and June 1 for the following fall semester.

You need to hold a GPA of 2.5 or better and demonstrate participation in a campus-based international student organization to receive the scholarship for your second year.

Friendship family program

Be a friend to our international students at Jamestown Community College through our Friendship Family program. International students have left their family and friends to come here, which can be a lonely experience, but you can help make their stay more memorable and rewarding.

Being a friendship family is not the same as a host family. We want to connect our students with caring members of the community who can support them and help them adjust. You do not need to provide housing accommodations for the student. Taking a student grocery shopping, including them at Sunday dinner, meeting them for coffee, or involving them in a holiday celebration are all simple ways of sharing.
