National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week Event

JCC's SAC'D Club invites all to learn more about the students affected by chemical dependency group, including a meet and greet with members, snacks and beverages, and information about local resources for substance use disorders.

Activities include:

  • Creating video and visual testimonials about how addiction affects students
  • Learning how to nurture your mental health
  • Playing Kahoot games
  • Cultivating a safe environment where we can openly discuss addiction

SUNY JCC Announces Graduates from Fall 2023 Semester

Kirk Young, Ph.D., vice president of Student Affairs, and Jessica Kubiak, Ph.D., interim vice president of Academic Affairs, recently announced the students who were awarded degrees or certificates after completing the fall 2023 semester at SUNY Jamestown Community College.
 
One student earned a 4.0 grade point average, which is deemed highest honors. Thirty-eight students earned 3.5-3.99 GPA, or high honors; and 25 students earned honors at 3.25-3.49 GPA.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — SUNY Jamestown Community College is hosting an afternoon of free fun and informational activities to celebrate the total solar eclipse on April 8 at the Jamestown Campus.

Activities are scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Eclipse totality on campus is expected for nearly three minutes at approximately 3:19 p.m.

Two internationally-acclaimed virtuoso classical saxophonists will be in residency on March 21 at the SUNY Jamestown Community College Jamestown Campus.

Two presentations and a woodwind masterclass will be followed by a live performance at 12:20 p.m. in room 138 of the Sheldon Center. All of the events are free and open to the public.
