Hey guys, I’m Connor! I am a sophomore at JCC, and I graduated from Dunkirk High School. I am here to earn a degree in adolescence education, focusing on math and Spanish. My career goal is to become a high school Spanish teacher. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, drawing, and writing. When I’m here on campus I’m pretty busy with being Student Senate president, but I’m also on the FSA Activities Board as well as the Campus Activities Board. I wanted to become a peer mentor because adjusting to college was difficult for me until I found a number of people who helped and supported me. Being a peer mentor now gives me a formal way to do the same for others.

Hi, I’m Cody! I am originally from Randolph, NY. Here at JCC I am majoring in criminal justice and am aspiring to become a lawyer. My interests involve reading, hiking, and enjoying some good music. My favorite authors are Plato, Arthur Miller, and Herman Melville. Aside from being a peer mentor, I am JCC’s student trustee and a court administration intern, and I also work at Wendy’s. I chose to become a peer mentor to help give new students advice that has helped me here at JCC.

Hi, I’m John! I am a nursing major here at JCC, and I'm originally from Kelowna, Canada. My career goals include working as an emergency nurse, in rehab or in physical therapy. Aside from that, my hobbies and interests include playing rugby, playing video games, and music. In case you’re wondering, I am a drummer, guitarist, and singer! I am involved in the Rock and Jazz Ensembles here on campus, and I participate as an actor at the Spire Theater. I wanted to become a peer mentor because the reward of my efforts towards transitioning freshman will help de-stress students and help them focus on doing well in school.

Hello! I’m Kassandra and I am from Jamestown, NY. I am currently working toward a degree in individual studies with the goal of becoming a forensic scientist who works on crime scene analysis. When I’m not on campus you can catch me going on road trips, modeling, writing poetry, and even acting! At JCC, I am a member of the Campus Activities Board and the Student Senate secretary. I chose to become a peer mentor because I know how beneficial it can be to have someone to relate to and get help from. I would like to be that person for someone!

Hello! I’m Alicia and I am a sophomore here at JCC, and I'm originally from Salamanca, NY. I am currently working toward a degree in biotechnology. I plan to transfer to SUNY ESF to join their biotechnology program and earn my bachelor’s degree. I’m also a student ambassador. Outside of the classroom I truly enjoy hiking, blogging, and writing (especially to my pen pals!). I became a peer mentor because I was trained by Sources of Strength and I would like to share the skills I have learned to help others.
