Off to Regionals and Nationals

Kyle Mulcahy, Austin Lynn, Jake Nicholson, and Emanuel Zamora from our wrestling team head to nationals this weekend, and our swimming and diving team goes to nationals next week! Our women's basketball team will play in the regional semi-finals this weekend as well. Go Jayhawks!

1,000 Points

Congratulations to Elle Reed and Ohndo Smith on scoring over 1,000 points in their JCC careers! Way to go, Jayhawks!

NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American, DIII

Congratulations to sophomore Jayhawk Shannon Gunnell for being named a NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American (DIII)! Check out the full team on the NJCAA website

Shannon was also selected for All-Conference first team and All-Region first team (Region 3) in 2014. In addition, Shannon has been named regional player of the week, WNYAC All-Conference first team, and All-Region second team in 2013. She is a graduate of Falconer Central School, where she played volleyball, softball, and basketball. Shannon is an occupational therapy assistant major.    

Shannon helped lead the JCC Jayhawks volleyball team to regionals by scoring 403 kills (which ranked seventh overall), 283 digs, 43 serving aces, and 43 total blocks.

The JCC Jayhawks athletic department was selected as the 2013-14 Community Service Recognition Award College of the Year at the Region 3 Athletic Directors' meeting! Congratulations to everyone who participated in all our community service activities last year. We didn’t do this to receive an award; we did it to help people in our community. Thank you for demonstrating the importance of giving back. Let's continue to give back to our community, who has always supported us.
