In light of the evolving COVID-19 situation, JCC’s College Connections office is providing remote services until further notice.

We are taking every reasonable step to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and families. Thank you for your patience while we continue to serve you in alternate ways.

Courses & grading

College Connections courses have switched to remote learning formats. Please make sure to keep in regular contact with your instructor(s). College Connections grades will be entered by June 26 into Banner.

College Connections students who do not wish to receive a traditional A-F grade in their course have the following options:

  • The withdrawal deadline for full-year and spring College Connections courses has been extended until May 11. Students must send an email to their instructor requesting to be withdrawn and state why they no longer wish to receive college credit for the course. The instructor must forward the email to the College Connections office and acknowledge the withdrawal.
  • Students have until July 10 to opt to be graded for one or all of their current courses on a credit/fail (CR/F) basis. Students should discuss with their high school counselor and/or college advisor prior to filling out the CR/F form. Please note that courses graded CR may or may not transfer to another institution or fulfill degree requirements.
  • Students who are unable to complete a course by the end of June but are able to make arrangements with their instructor to finish the course within the next 12 months may opt for an Incomplete (I) for the course by filling out the Incomplete form with their instructor and submitting it by June 25. If the work for the course is not finished within the agreed upon time, the student will receive an "F" for the final grade.

Please note that all of the options above can only be initiated by the student. This list of FAQs for College Connections students should be reviewed prior to opting for any grading changes.
