Workforce Readiness Scholarship

Apply to: 
JCC Admissions and FAFSA application by March 1. Must obtain recommendation from BOCES or high school technology teacher or school counselor. Complete the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension test.
Amount: 
NYS Resident tuition, fees, books and program supplies less Pell, TAP, PHEAA and tuition waivers for full-time study of at least 12 credit hours/semester.
Deadline: 
Preference given to those who file admission and FAFSA applications by March 1.
Eligibility: 
1. Student must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours/semester in a JCC certificate or A.A.S. degree program in Computer Aided Design/Computer Numerical Control, Industrial Equipment Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Mechanical Technology, or Welding Technology. 2. Student (excluding P-TECH students) must be a graduate from accredited high schools in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Warren, Forest, Potter, McKean, Elk, Cameron and in Corry and North East, PA with a particular focus toward students attending BOCES and high school technology academies.
Duration: 
Two consecutive semesters for certificate programs, four consecutive semesters for A.A.S. degree programs for fall and spring semesters only. Students must enroll in, and complete, at least 12 credits each semester with at least a 2.0 semester to maintain eligibility to receive this award.
