Math & Science: Chemistry (Liberal Arts & Sciences) (A.S.)

Study chemistry at JCC

Students can choose to earn the general Liberal Arts and Sciences: Mathematics and Sciences degree or can choose to earn the degree with a track in chemistry (a SUNY Transfer Path). Students interested in pursuing this track should speak with an advisor or counselor to make sure the correct program is noted. This track must be completed on the Jamestown Campus.

JCC's chemistry curriculum focuses on aspects of preparatory, allied health, inorganic, and organic chemistry. Students develop the solid foundation of chemical knowledge and the problem solving skills necessary to enter the job market or to continue into a four-year degree program. Advanced study can lead to careers in chemistry, biotechnology, forensics, materials science, pharmacy, teaching, and medical technology.
