Director, Health Information Technology/Administrative Professional; Assistant Professor

I began teaching at JCC in 2001 and am assistant professor and director of the health information technology and administrative professional programs. Prior to joining JCC’s faculty, I taught at Olean Business Institute for 16 years. I have served as JCC’s dean of business and social sciences as well as interim dean of the Cattaraugus County Campus and Workforce Readiness (formerly Continuing Education). I serve, or have served, on many college committees. My passion for teaching has been rewarded with both the President’s Award and the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.

I teach several courses, including medical terminology, health data procedures, healthcare documentation/medical transcription, keyboarding/word processing, and professional development/internship.

I live in Olean with my husband, and have three grown children and eight grandchildren.
