Assistant Professor
I have been a full-time faculty member at JCC since 2003, and have also acted as the co-director of the criminal justice program. In regards to my criminal justice experience, I was a deputy sheriff for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office in Largo, Florida. While there, I spent most of my time as a booking officer in a maximum security jail. I teach a variety of classes here at JCC, from introductory criminal justice courses to more upper-level, specialized subjects.
I was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame in July 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona. I was also the recipient of the Instructor of the Year award for my 25 years of studying and teaching self-defense to students and law enforcement professionals.
