This course provides an overview of human development across the lifespan and the effects that congenital diseases, genetic conditions, disability, trauma, and injury have on occupational performance. Students will learn common conditions seen in occupational therapy practice with emphasis on etiology, clinical course, management, and prognosis. Students will explore the influences of health, wellness on an individual, their family, culture and society. Prerequisite: acceptance into OTA program. J, fall. Master Course Syllabus
