Students will learn the fundamentals of skill building using Microsoft Word. Document formatting for business correspondence, reports, and tables will be emphasized. A major emphasis is placed on increasing speed/accuracy and improving proofreading skills. No requisites. Master Course Syllabus

Students will receive on-the-job experience consisting of 135 hours of supervised activity in a local business or industry. Students work in conjunction with a faculty member and a supervisor at the job site. All guidelines in the original internship policy will be followed. Students will learn the basic concepts, factors, functions, and techniques of management in organizations. Students will obtain specific knowledge of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling and the interconnectedness of these functions in productive organizations. Upon course completion, students will demonstrate a knowledge of the principles of good management in individual and team-based environments. Prerequisite/Corequisite: ENG 1530. J fall; C fall.
