Learn the fundamental skills and concepts key to ensuring your success with SolidWorks with this SolidWorks Essentials training course.

Essentials teaches you how to use the SolidWorks mechanical design automation software to build parametric models of parts and assemblies as well as how to make drawings of those parts and assemblies.

Getting instruction from a certified SolidWorks trainer can enable you to achieve your goals, whether you want to improve your modeling skills, resume training, or learn how to use SolidWorks tools for the first time.


  • SolidWorks basics including design intent and opening files
  • SolidWorks user interface including using the command manager
  • Introduction to sketching including basic sketching, 2D sketching, and extruding sketching guidelines
  •  Basic part modeling including technology and choosing the best file

Cost of the class includes textbook and certificate of completion. Prerequisite: individuals taking this course should have two years drafting experience as well as have a basic knowledge of geometry and design.
