Intro Courses

This hands-on course is designed for those with little or no computer experience. Learn basic computer tasks such as working with Windows, navigating the web, using e-mail, setting up a PC, and basic word processing.

Intro to the Internet

Are you new to the internet? This course will guide you through the basics and give you the tools to navigate the web. Learn how to browse and search the web, set up an e-mail account, buy products online, and understand social media.


Microsoft Word 2013: Part II

#6403: Mar. 31 & Apr. 2 (T/R), 6-9 p.m., CARN 108, $107

Looking for more advanced word processing skills in Microsoft Word 2013? You will work with tables: creating, sorting, performing calculations, and adjusting properties. You will also create and edit documents which include Word Art, clip art, drop caps, auto shapes, text boxes, and other objects. Use your creative side as you format a newsletter, trying out format changes using built-in and custom styles. Create and edit templates that will give your work a consistently professional look and save you time. Bring drab documents to life quickly by using the easy routines you learn in this class. Prerequisite: MS Word Part I. Price includes textbook. Please register 1 week prior to class start date to ensure book arrival.
