Thank you for wanting to be a part of JCC's annual Scholars Day! To be considered, you must be a currently enrolled JCC student and have your project endorsed by a faculty member. Then, you should fill out an application and write a brief abstract for your project. Abstracts are summaries of your work: what you're hoping to show or learn through your work, and the steps you're taking to get there.
We've also supplied resources and some more information on how your abstract will be evaluated and what makes for an effective abstract
After you've submitted your application, the Scholars Day Working Group will review it and let you know if your project has been accepted.
Making a Poster
Once your application has been approved, you'll need to develop a poster that clearly and succinctly describes your projects and its conclusions. You will also need to have your faculty sponsor approve your poster for print. To help, we've assembled a few resources for you to use.
Another helpful resource is researchposters.jimdo.com. Poster presentation workshops will be scheduled in advance and on demand.
Please e-mail Felix Muzza if you have any questions.
