JCC offers academic assistance to students at its two learning centers, Main Street on the Jamestown Campus and the Learning Assistance and Computer Center on the Cattaraugus County Campus. In addition to help with most academic subjects, students can receive personalized assistance with reading, writing, and study skills.
Students can receive one-to-one tutoring from trained student tutors and experienced faculty members. The centers maintain libraries of learning resource materials and current textbooks. Computer labs are available for microcomputer applications, internet research, and access to course specific software.
The learning centers work closely with the Disability Support Services Office. Students with disability-related learning needs can access assistive technology and can receive individualized assistance at both learning centers.
Main Street is located on the second floor of the Hultquist Library (HULT) on the Jamestown campus and the Learning Assistance and Computer Center is located in the Technology Center (CTTC) on the Cattaraugus Campus. Limited tutorial services are available at the North County Extension Center.
