The JCC Uncommoners fall musical, THE PRODUCERS has been cast, and rehearsals are now under way. Based upon the Mel Brooks cult comedy classic film from 1968, this new musical version sets the standard for modern, outrageous, in-your-face humor. When it debuted on Broadway, it won a record twelve Tony Awards, and wowed capacity crowds night after night.

The JCC Uncommoners are privileged to be the first company in the area to present the show. One reviewer called it “the funniest show on the planet!” “Outrageous, hilarious, a teeny bit offensive, off the wall” stated another reviewer.

It is the story of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, two men who sing and dance their way through the greatest show biz scam there ever was. In the story, they discover that through creative accounting, they can make more money with a flop than with a hit. So they set out to produce a show called: “Springtime for Hitler,” figuring when it flops, they will use the extra money raised to finance their own trip to Rio! But things don’t work out as planned!

The cast includes: Michael Correy of Cassadaga; Mike Giambelluca & Aaron Puvel of Falconer; Chad Denmead & Raleigh Hawk of Fredonia; Matt Warren of Frewsburg; Louis DeCarlo of Gowanda; Kathryn Armbruster, Len Barry, Ian Bishop, Michael Centi, Ieashea Cunningham, Nicholas Dole, Ashley Eck, Stephanie Fisher, Nick Gonzalez, Don Hill, Gary Peters Jr., Ted Ruttenbur, Madeline Schlick, & Emily Strong of Jamestown; Megan Lindahl & Kristy Woodfield of Lakewood; Tim Smeal of Mayville; Shinea Marion Igelinski of Perrysburg; Dawn Chadwick, Kira Chadwick & Daman Holland of Randolph; Malachi Livermore of Sinclairville; and Noelle Hone of Warren.

The show is directed by Robert Schlick, Technical Director is Steven Gustafson. Mary Anne Harp is Conductor of the 22 piece orchestra, Kate Amatuzzo is Vocal Director, Carol Svensen is Rehearsal Pianist, Jordan Spencer and Daman Holland are Choreographers, and Beth Strong is Costumer.
