Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy) (Duquesne University)

Does not guarantee acceptance of JCC students to the Duquesne University Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree program or to Duquesne University.  Establishes a six-year pathway leading to the Pharm.D.  Students attend JCC for two years of pre-pharmacy coursework before applying to the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy for the “professional phase” of their studies.  Stipulates minimum criteria for application to the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, including required JCC degree, coursework, grade point average, Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) score, interview with Duquesne University School of Pharmacy faculty, letter of recommendation, and evidence of leadership potential and commitment to the pharmacy profession.  In each academic year, the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy will admit at least two and up to four JCC students who meet these minimum criteria.  Addresses additional criteria for granting preference if more than two JCC applicants meet the minimum criteria in any given year.
