Job Services & Career Counseling

Helping YOU make informed career choices.

Counselors at JCC offer individual counseling and credit-bearing classes designed to help you to explore and establish specific career and life goals. The counselors provide a comprehensive approach to help you identify the appropriate career choice. The approach includes individual counseling, self-assessment inventories, and a computer based career exploration program,  MCP FOCUS. (Students may request access codes for this program at the Counseling and Career Development Center.) In addition, a college credit-bearing course (HUM 1550, Life/Career Planning) is offered during the spring and fall semesters.

During career counseling you could expect to:

  • Learn how to plan and complete a “search” for the career that meets
    your individual strengths and needs.
  • Identify and explore career options.
  • Learn about the academic programs at JCC that will meet the
    requirements for your career choice.

Early planning can help you achieve your goal in a timely manner!
