JCC Uncommoners

The Uncommoners, JCC's  theatrical group and production company, produce two shows each year in the Scharmann Theatre on the Jamestown Campus. Uncommoners productions are open to area students and community members. Actors, musicians, and crew are encouraged to audition.

The JCC Uncommoners announce their 2013 fall musical, Anything Goes. With the music and lyrics of Cole Porter, this show is one of Broadway's favorite shows. It features some of Porter's most famous songs: "You're the Top," "It's De-Lovely," "Friendship," "I Get a Kick Out of You," "Blow, Gabriel, Blow," "All Through the Night," and the title song, "Anything Goes."

Early auditions for the production will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 17 and 18, at 7 p.m. in the Scharmann Theatre. People wishing to try out should memorize a song to sing, and bring along sheet music. A pianist will be provided. A simple dance routine will be taught, so wear clothes which will allow you to move easily. Anyone from the college or the community may audition.

There are a wide range of character parts in the show.
