Students who are involved in co-curricular activities excel in their studies and graduate at a higher rate than those who are not. College isn't just about classrooms, books and libraries. College is also about making new friends, joining clubs, participating in activities, and taking chances on new experiences, as well as having fun. Get involved in <a href="http://www.sunyjcc.edu/index.php?q=node/4210">Student Senate</a>, <a href="/clubsgroups">student clubs and organizations</a>, Campus Activity Board, <a href="http://www.sunyjcc.edu/athletics">athletics</a>, <a href="http://www.sunyjcc.edu/index.php?q=node/4208">intramurals and recreation</a>, <a href="http://weeksgallery.sunyjcc.edu/">visual arts</a>, and performing arts to enhance your educational experience at JCC and your future career. The Campus Activity Board (CAB) and the College Program Committee are responsible for bringing activities (speakers, artists, musicians, etc.) to campus. The CAB is composed of only students while the College Program Committee is composed of both faculty and students. Being involved in campus activities is a way to extend your learning to outside of the classroom, and everyone is encouraged to participate.
