The full college experience

Hillside Suites programming provides residents the opportunity to meet new people, experience new things, and a chance to relax and take a study break. In addition to off-campus outings, we have many activities in the residence halls and around campus.

Dodgeball tournaments and pool parties

Evening and weekend dodgeball tournaments and pool parties are always a huge hit.

Dress for success interview attire fashion show

Our annual Dress for Success Fashion Show encourages students to stand out from the competition in the professional world. Hillside Suites residents hit the runway modeling business casual and business professional attire from Maurice's at the Warren Commons and Bon-Ton at the Chautauqua Mall. The event demonstrates how to dress professionally while also offering interviewing tips and advice.

Evening court time

For residents who wish to play basketball in a non-league atmosphere, Residence Life hosts an open court on most Sunday nights. In addition to competitive games, residents are able to spend time shooting around or participating in ferocious slam dunk contests, as well use the 2nd floor gym equipment and track.

Gateway Center

Residence Life sponsors free afternoons of laser tag at the Jamestown Gateway Center. Each resident plays one game of laser tag, eats pizza, and plays pool, human foosball, air hockey, and Wii games. On top of having a great time, residents can also make connections for future volunteer opportunities at the Center.

Holiday parties and celebrations

The Residence Life holiday parties provide residents with the opportunity to create crafts, play games, and enjoy delicious snacks. The staff also likes to provide holiday meals and activities for the students who are unable to be home with their families for the holidays (such as Thanksgiving and Easter).

Making Strides to End Breast Cancer

The Hillside Suites Residence Life staff organizes a series of extremely successful fundraisers for the American Cancer Society, which is dedicated to cancer research and awareness. Residents form teams and take part in numerous volleyball and dodgeball games which allowe residents to donate money to the cause. In October, Hillside Suites residents are invited to walk 3.2 miles in the Making Strides to End Breast Cancer event, also held at JCC.
