Web-Assisted Tobacco Intervention (WATI) for JCC Students
JCC students who are trying to break free from smoking are invited, beginning in September 2013, to participate in an online research study being conducted by the University of Rochester Medical Center. Participants in the yearlong study will be financially compensated for completing Web-Assisted Tobacco Intervention (WATI) surveys whether they quit smoking or not.

You are eligible to participate in the WATI program if you:

  • are at least 18 years of age;
  • are enrolled as a matriculated part-time or full-time student at JCC;
  • currently smoke at least 5 cigarettes per day on at least 5 days per week OR have quit within the past 7 days and did smoke at least 5 cigarettes per day on at least 5 days per week;
  • are thinking about quitting, ready to set a quit date, or are in the process of quitting and abstaining from tobacco

To enroll, visit WATI, e-mail wati@urmc.rochester.edu, or call 585.576.5875.
