SUNY Broome Community College

setting up laboratory sessions based on faculty requirements; ordering and maintenance of laboratory supplies; completion of paperwork for purchasing laboratory supplies and maintenance of appropriate files; keeping laboratory clean and in good working order throughout the course of the semester.  The Technical Assistant will be present during all laboratory and open lab sessions in order to assure all supplies are available and in good working order.



This position requires a working knowledge of health care procedures and equipment in order to work efficiently and effectively with the Nursing faculty teams. The Technical Assistant works closely with the department Secretary and also with students in the laboratory setting.  An Associate’s Degree in a related field is required for this position.  Candidates comfortable in a diverse, student-centered environment and committed to the community college mission are encouraged to apply.
