  • Performs as an engineering technician using a variety of programming skills and software to enable advanced equipment to operate at peak efficiency
  • Develops/Edits/Troubleshoots/Maintains CNC programs for Zeiss CMMs and Rofin Laser Engravers
  • Provides backup programming support to Milling, Turning, and Grinding departments as needed
  • Maintains DNC system
  • Updates and maintains revisions and related documentation related to NC programs
  • Works with Maintenance and Calibration personnel to maintain equipment and certifications as needed including Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) Studies
  • Tracks variances and performs root cause analysis, implementing corrections & countermeasures as needed to improve standards.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by understanding and complying with government regulations and company policies.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • The primary source for this position is engineering technology or technician with a Associates Degree or equivalent documented work experience.
  • Experience in a metal cutting or fabrication manufacturing facility a plus
  • Technically adept, able to comprehend & articulate well in engineering environment
  • Good analytical, problem solving and organization skills- RCFA skill is a given
  • Strong drive and persistence- full of energy
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as manufacturing prints, operating & maintenance instructions, & procedures/manuals.
  • Understanding of 3D modeling and using models to generate programs.

      Cad/Cam NX preferred

  • Competent with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
  • Understand and perform work in a safe and helpful manner.
