Welding Technology (A.A.S.)

Study welding at JCC

The Welding Technology degree at Jamestown Community College prepares you for employment in the expanding fields of welding and welding technology engineering. You can pursue careers such as welding technician, welding supervisor, inspector, and sales engineer. You’ll be involved in testing and improving welding processes, procedures, and equipment. Graduates can also transfer to four-year institutions offering the bachelor’s degree in welding engineering technology.

JCC’s program provides a strong foundation in welding processes, including safety, proper equipment setup, and metallurgy. You’ll also gain practical experience in shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, and gas tungsten arc welding.

JCC also offers NYSDOT welder certification testing »

2022 median pay for welders, cutters, solderers, and brazers: $47,540/year according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
