With facilities located on our Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses, MTI provides students with the equipment and programs needed to train for careers in advanced manufacturing.

In one-year certificate programs, you are trained to take your knowledge to the manufacturing field and be confident in your abilities on the job.

Workforce development scholarships  are available for eligible students. Scholarship funds earmarked for students enrolled in programs at MTI have been provided by area businesses to support workforce development efforts.
Whether paid or unpaid, for credit or not, an internship  offers you connections to your future. Valuable experiential learning opportunities in the technology and manufacturing related fields are available.
Academic/for credit internships: Internships offered for academic credit require a faculty sponsor, completion of at least 24 college credits, and a 2.0 GPA. For every one credit earned, at least 45 hours of work must be completed.
Non-credit internships: Any JCC student is eligible for a non-credit internship. While you cannot earn academic credit, you are able to gain valuable experience.
Training and certification programs, whether for career advancement or personal enrichment, are coordinated at the MTIs through JCC’s Center for Continuing Education .
