Joint Admission - Pharmacy
Associate in Applied Science

Jamestown Community College and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) have created an agreement to encourage students to pursue careers in pharmacy and help meet the critical demand for new pharmacists. A "2+3 / 2+4 Program Affiliation Agreement" allows qualified JCC students to complete the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) in three or four years after earning an Associate in Science degree at JCC with a specially design pre-pharmacy curriculum.

  • Applications from high school seniors are welcome at any time, and highly qualified students may be accepted early in their senior year. Applicants should be aware that LECOM reserves only a limited number of positions for JCC students each year. Fulfillment of minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Applicants must demonstrate that, as judged by the JCC science faculty, they possess the potential to complete an extremely rigorous five- or six-year academic endeavor.
  • Following their four semesters at JCC, students can complete the Pharm.D. in an accelerated program involving three years of year-round study at LECOM's Erie, PA campus, or in four typical academic years (mid-August to early June) at LECOM's Bradenton, FL campus.
