Of Mice and Men is a drama, based on John Steinbeck’s novella of the same name, and tells the tragic story of displaced migrant ranch workers, George Milton and Lennie Small, drifters looking for work in California during the Great Depression.

The two have delusions of living off the “fat of the land,” and have arrived at a ranch to work for enough money to buy their own place. Lennie is a man-child, a boy in the body of a dangerously powerful man. Lennie’s obsession with things soft and cuddly has made George cautious about the people with whom he associates.
