Final 2009 Record  10-6

The Jayhawk men’s soccer team lost in the first round of the regional playoffs to Finger lakes CC by a score of 1-0, ending a very successful season. After starting the season with 4 wins in the first 10 games the team won 7 straight contests including 6 consecutive wins against Region III opponents. The team won its first WNYAC conference title and hosted its first regional playoff game. With a solid core of players returning the team is looking to build on its success of 2009 and will continue to work to be a consistent contender in a highly competitive men’s soccer in Region III.

9/20 Jayhawks 0  Lorain CCC 1:  Robertson, Pearce, Meekins, Meher lead strong defensive effort

10/3  Jayhawks 2 Finger Lakes 0: Roger Staples records shutout. Ryan Card and Kevin St George score, Dan Auflick and Bert Meekins assist.

10/9/09: Jayhawks 2 Genesee 0: Reid Sturzenbecker and Andy Lindberg score with assists to Kevin St George and Andrew Robertson. Staples third shutout.

10/14/09  Jayhawks 2 Alfred 1:  Jayhawks comeback from 1-0 deficit on goals by Sturzenbecker and Fish. Dan Auflick and bert Meekins are exceptional in the field
