JCC’s Cattaraugus County will welcome the Eastman Chamber Music Society as the next event in the Rising Star Series on April 26.
 
The concert, free and open to the public, begins at 3 p.m. in Cutco Theater. For more information call 376-7590 or 376-7586. The Rising Star series is sponsored by Cutco Foundation, Olean Medical Group and the JCC Faculty Student Association.
 
Founded in 2000, the ECMS is comprised of some of the finest graduate student instrumentalists at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester.
 
Selected by audition, ECMS musicians bring an impressive and international background to the group. Together they perform in various configurations of string, piano, and wind chamber music. Their diverse instrumentation allows the ECMS to explore standard as well as unusual masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire.
 
ECMS has performed in many venues, from the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City to more local sites such as Keuka and Elmira colleges.
