The Jamestown Community College Alumni Association honored several “Alumni Nurses of Distinction” at a recent dinner.
The annual recognition honors nursing graduates who have distinguished themselves as healthcare providers. Each honoree was nominated by his or her employer.
The program also featured guest speakers and JCC nursing faculty members Deborah Johnston BS, RN, Kathy Taydus, DNP, RN, and Kelly Whitver, MS, RN who outlined a maternity simulation immersion project.
Honorees included: Ann Burke '04, nurse, Olean General Hospital; Julianne Creed '03, charge nurse, Bradford Regional Medical Center; Mary Degnan '01, RN supervisor, New Visions Services; Michele Deuble '02, RN, WCA Hospital; Valerie Dunshie '98, circulating nurse, The Rehabilitation Center; Laurie Fenton '06, RN manager, The Resource Center; Roger Johnson '11, oncology nurse, Olean Medical Group; Karen Larsen '03, RN, Warren State Hospital; Anita Moore '97, program director of research quality improvement, University of Maryland, Greenebaum Cancer Center; Karen Myschisin '04, RN/nurse manager, Heritage Park Health Care Center; Adrianne Rounds '81, nursing supervisor, Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center; Ann Whippo, '10, Bradford Regional Medical Center; and Michelle Whitman '98, nurse, Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York.
