Amount: NYS resident tuition less Pell, TAP and PHEAA
Eligibility: First-time, full-time freshmen applicants ranked in the top 20% of their graduating class, earning Regents diplomas from accredited high schools in NY counties of Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, or Allegany or with academic diplomas from high schools in PA counties of Warren, Forest, Potter, McKean, Elk, or Cameron or PA cities of Corry or North East
Number of awards annually: All eligible applicants who have applied for admission and filed FAFSA applications by March 1st.
Deadline: File JCC Admissions and FAFSA applications by March 1st. Eligible late applicants are considered on a funds available basis.
Duration: The USA Scholarship will pay for up to four semesters of NYS resident tuition not covered by PELL, TAP or PHEAA grants, or JCC tuition waivers. USA scholars must enroll in, and complete, at least 12 credits each semester with a 3.0 semester and cumulative grade point average to maintain eligibility to receive this award.
