Also participating are several talented area performers, including Ian Bishop, Maghee Cain, Nick Dole, Ashley Eck, Tom Fitzpatrick, Raleigh Hawk, Daman Holland, Peter Larson, Malachi Livermore, Matt Warren, Bill Whitehill, and Hannah Wright. Michael and Joey Gerace play the four-year-old and 10-year-old versions of Tommy.

The Who's Tommy is the stage version of the rock opera of the same name, originally released as an album by The Who in 1969. It features many special effects and sophisticated lighting, along with a live rock band on stage, conducted by Bill Eckstrom, the show's music director and a JCC adjunct music faculty member.

Robert T. Schlick, the show's director, notes, “This show gets us back to our roots, not just because it's rock and roll of a certain era, but because it will introduce a whole new era of JCC students to the story of Tommy. And, because it's a new era, the idea of finally staging Tommy as a legitimate rock opera brings the show full circle. It even updates the story a bit by introducing some new lyrics and adding one new Pete Townshend song – `I Believe My Own Eyes' – written exclusively for the stage version.”

Pre-sale tickets are $14, general admission; $12, senior citizens and area students; and $8, JCC Faculty Student Association members. At the door prices are $16, general admission; $14, senior citizens and area students; and $8, FSA members. Tickets can be purchased by calling JCC's box office, 716.338.1187.
