JCC is one of 11 colleges and universities nationwide being recognized by University Business magazine's ‘Models of Efficiency' program.

JCC identified a solution to transition faculty contract processing from a paper-based system to a streamlined electronic system. The college's existing system called for special contracts with faculty who taught extra courses.

JCC rolled out the new system in phases beginning in summer 2010 with the whole system converted to the paperless system by January of this year.

The Models of Efficiency program is sponsored by Higher One, a leading company focused on helping college business offices manage operations and provide enhanced service to students. Through a full array of services from refunds, payments, electronic billing, payment plans and more, Higher One works closely with colleges and universities to ensure students receive financial aid refunds quickly, pay tuition and bills online, make on-campus and community purchases, and learn the basics of financial management.

University Business is the leading publication for senior managers at colleges and university throughout the U.S.

JCC was also recognized recently as a finalist for the SunGard Higher Education Award for Institutional Performance during the SunGard Corporation Summit.
