Nearly 100 area high school students explored entrepreneurship in a recent half-day program titled “Be the Boss!” at JCC.

Tom Filsinger, whose entrepreneurial endeavors include Filsinger Games and Dark Menace Productions, delivered the keynote presentation as he discussed turning your passions into business success. Jamestown area entrepreneur Gary Lynn discussed the importance and value of sharing business success with your community. Students also heard Adam Mook of Erie-based Logistics Plus discuss finding global opportunities for your business.

Scott Bradish of Snap Fitness, Tom Meyers of McDonald's, and Vic Tarana of Tim Hortons participated in a panel discussion providing students with an inside look at franchise opportunities.

Supported by JCC's Small Business Development Center and a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission, the “Be the Boss!” program was designed to strengthen awareness of JCC's new online credit certificate program in entrepreneurship.
