Several JCC student athletes have been recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for their academic achievements. Students must achieve grade point average and athletic participation expectations to be recognized at regional and national levels.

JCC’s women’s soccer, women’s swimming, and women’s basketball teams on the Jamestown Campus and the women’s soccer team on the Cattaraugus County Campus were also recognized as all-academic teams.

Six JCC students were recognized with NJCAA academic student-athlete awards.

Victoria Matteson of Corry, PA (swimming) and Jennifer James of Cuba (soccer) achieved the Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence with a 4.0 grade point average.

The NJCAA Award for Superior Academic Achievement (3.80 to 3.99 GPA) was presented to Tyler Dykstra of Jamestown (soccer) and Greg Marco of Waterdown, Ontario (baseball).

The NJCAA Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement, for those achieving a 3.60 to 3.79 GPA, was earned by Haley Sigular of Jamestown and Amy Hulin of Bolivar (soccer) and Zachary Harrington of Olean (basketball).
