JCC professor Gregory Rabb participated in a faculty development seminar sponsored recently by the Palestinian American Research Center in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

The 12-day seminar is designed for American faculty members with a demonstrated interest in, but little travel experience to, Palestine. PARC selects 10 to 12 U.S. faculty members annually to participate in Jerusalem-based activities to learn about the region, deepen their knowledge of their particular fields of interest as they relate to Palestine, and build relationships with Palestinian academic colleagues.

Dr. Rabb, who teaches political science, was the only community college representative selected to participate in the seminar.

A member of the JCC faculty since 1986, Dr. Rabb earned a juris doctor degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo, a master's degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a bachelor's degree at Canisius College. Dr. Rabb, who also serves as JCC’s global education coordinator, received the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2011.
