Natalie Burns of Falconer Central School took first place in JCC's 20th annual high school mathematics contest for juniors and seniors recently.

Other top scorers included Joey Campion of Jamestown High School, second; Richa Gupta of Jamestown High School, third; and Patrick Hoover of Youngsville High School, fourth. Each received a JCC Campus Store gift certificate.

Upper level high school mathematics students from the Dunkirk, Eisenhower, Falconer, Frewsburg, Jamestown, Randolph, Ripley, Southwestern, and Youngsville school districts participated in the contest, which is coordinated by JCC's science, technology, engineering, and mathematics division. After the contest, the students participated in problem solving, chemistry, and physics demonstrations.
