JCC students and alumni, as well as community members, can now access a career management portal through JCC’s website.
College Central Network, which facilitates connections between job seekers and employers, was added recently to the services provided through JCC’s Counseling & Career Center.
Founded in 1996, College Central Network connects job seekers to entry level jobs with tools that are easy to use.
All current JCC students are pre-registered each semester to have an account with College Central Network, and JCC alumni and community residents are welcome to create free accounts with the program.
Job seekers can search and apply for jobs, get alerts when a job that matches their interests is added to the system, and upload their resume for employers to view. Videos and podcasts on interviewing and job search techniques are available also.
Employers can use College Central Network to post job openings, search and review candidates’ resumes, and register for job fairs.
Currently, 62 area employers and 205 active job seekers are registered and 135 employment opportunities have been posted.
