Works by 15 JCC students were honored with awards during the opening of the annual student art exhibition in the Weeks Gallery.

The exhibition, on display through May 7, features 99 works selected from 223 submissions by 62 students, including drawings, two- and three-dimensional designs, paintings, ceramics, photography, digital art, and multimedia works.

The show was judged by Robert Booth, State University of New York at Fredonia Distinguished Teaching Professor, and chair of the department of visual art and new media.

Awards included:
Aaron Dolecki of Frewsburg, JCC Alumni Association best of show and digital media excellence and purchase awards; Katie Chriscaden and Alyssa Raimondo of Jamestown, art survey excellence; Mason Lange and Ryan Sinatra of Jamestown, Jessica Mirek of Silver Creek, and Michele Kuzawski of Brocton, digital media excellence and purchase awards; Angelo Colaiacovo and Chen Li Seagren of Jamestown, ceramics excellence awards; Karl Hanson of Ashville, photography excellence award; Mindy Drohin of Jamestown and Christina Logel of Portland, painting excellence and purchase awards; and Kaylea Stoeltzing of Jamestown and Britt Anderson of Bemus Point, drawing excellence awards.
