Three JCC faculty members were promoted with the start of the 2011-12 academic year:

Theresa Baginski and Amber Kautzman were promoted to associate professor. Sarah Kelley was promoted to assistant professor.

Ms. Kelley joined JCC's faculty in 2006 as a reading instructor on the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses. She earned an associate's degree at JCC, a bachelor's degree at Keuka College, and a master's degree at Mansfield University.

Ms. Baginski, who teaches Spanish, earned  bachelor's degrees at Niagara University and master's degrees at the University of Buffalo and U.S. Army War College. She began teaching at JCC as an adjunct in 1996 and as a full-time faculty member in 2002.

Ms. Kautzman, who has taught mathematics and computer science courses at JCC since 2000, holds a bachelor's degree from Mercyhurst and a master's degree from Miami University of Ohio.

New faculty appointments include:
Heather Burrell, a nursing instructor on the Cattaraugus County Campus, holds an associate's degree from JCC, a bachelor's degree from the Florida Hospital College of Health Services, and a master's degree from South University. Most recently she was the staff educator for surgical services at Olean General Hospital.

Linda DeJoseph will serve as a temporary counselor on the Jamestown Campus for the 2011-12 academic year. A member of the counseling staff since 2009, Ms. DeJoseph earned an associate's degree at JCC, a bachelor's degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a master's degree at St. Bonaventure University. She worked previously for The Resource Center and Family Service of the Chautauqua Region.

Colette Haight is JCC's new academic advising coordinator on the Jamestown Campus. An adjunct member of JCC's counseling staff since 1999, Ms. Haight earned both bachelor's and master's degrees at Edinboro University. She has a background in a variety of counseling roles, including crisis intervention and chemical dependency. Ms. Haight is a former psychiatric technician at Saint Vincent Health Center.

Beth Lisi, the new learning assistance/computer center coordinator on the Cattaraugus County Campus, holds a bachelor's degree from St. Bonaventure University and a master's degree from California State University at Hayward/East Bay. Ms. Lisi worked previously as a public school technology facilitator and communications coordinator.

Justin March will serve as a reading instructor on the Jamestown Campus. He earned a bachelor's degree at Skidmore College and a master's degree at the City College of New York. Most recently, he was a full-time lecturer at the Borough of Manhattan Community College and has also taught at John Jay College.

Rebecca Tyler, who joins the faculty as a nursing instructor on the Jamestown Campus, was a nurse manager for coronary care and a medical/surgical unit. She earned an associate's degree at JCC, a bachelor's degree at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, and a master's degree at Excelsior College.

Kelly Wittenbrook, a nursing instructor on the Jamestown Campus, earned an associate's degree at JCC and a bachelor's degree at Daemen College. She worked for several years in a long-term care facility and expects to graduate with a master's degree in nursing as a nurse practitioner in May 2012.
