JCC’s music students and faculty will present recitals in Scharmann Theatre on the Jamestown Campus during April. The programs, free and open to the public, are presented by JCC’s arts, humanities, and health services division and Faculty Student Association.
The JCC faculty recital, which begins at 7 p.m. on April 25, features performances by Brian Bogey, Carol Svenson, and Neil Flory, piano; Michael F. Kelly and James Beal, vocalists; Curt Barnes, clarinet; Ralph Rasmussen, saxophone; Bill Eckstrom and Spencer Drake, guitar; and Basil Gedz Jr., drums. Rasmussen will be accompanied by Tyler Roesler, alto saxophone.
The student recital begins at 2 p.m. on April 27. JCC adjunct music faculty member Cathleen Gagliano will be the accompanist.
Scheduled to perform are Nathan Gibson, cello, a student of Bryan Eckenrode; Carl Brewer, tenor, student of James Beal; Derek Devlieger and Austin Schapp, voice students of Marjorie Switala; Andrew Durfee, tuba, student of Rick Lundquist; Colton Garifi, baritone, student of James Beal, and piano, student of Andrew Schmidt; Riley Gustafson, clarinet, and Tyler Roesler, alto saxophone, students of Ralph Rasmussen; Michelle Elleman-Cali, voice, student of Jolene Hiller; Victoria McIlvain, soprano, and Jake Shearer, baritone, students of James Beal; and Jeff Picarazzi, student of Bill Eckstrom.
