JCCs North County Center in Dunkirk will offer an English as a Second Language course this fall. 

The classes are designed for adults who want to improve their ability to speak, read, and write in English. Students will practice English for everyday situations such as jobs, parenting, and life in the community.

The $15 registration fee includes the cost of the course and all materials.  

Students must attend a registration and skills assessment session before classes begin. The session, which takes approximately an hour, is offered at JCC’s Training Center, 10807 Bennett Road (Route 60) in Dunkirk. Students will have the opportunity to meet their instructors during the assessment session.

Students can choose morning or evening classes at either the beginner/intermediate or intermediate levels.

Beginner/intermediate level classes meet from 9-11:30 a.m. or 6-8:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, September 18 to December 13.

Intermediate level classes meet from 9-11:30 a.m. or 6-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 19 to December 14.
