JCC and the Chautauqua County Counselors Association will host the 34th annual College/Career Night on October 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Physical Education Complex on JCC's Jamestown Campus.

Representatives from nearly 60 colleges and 80 career areas will be available to speak with interested students, parents, and other community residents during the event.

“College/Career Night is a well-developed vehicle for high school students, their parents, and community members to gather information before making very important life choices,” remarked Ronald Turak, coordinator of JCC's Counseling and Career Development Center. “JCC and the Chautauqua County Counselors Association have partnered again with the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation to provide in-depth information on its scholarship program and the financial aid process, items that are crucial aspects of the college application process.”

The program will also feature Funding an Education workshops on scholarship opportunities and financial aid planning, sponsored by the Community Foundation at 6 and 7:15 p.m. in the Lenna Theatre in Hultquist Library. Community Foundation and college financial aid personnel will outline avenues for obtaining funds for a college education.

Admission is free. For additional information about College/Career Night, call JCC, 716.338.1001.
